Faith observed the girl's wand closely. Immediately he thought of his own wand and a poem that say "rowan gossips, chestnut drones, ash is stubborn, hazel moans"... Of course, he was that rowan. What else could he be, after all? That was pretty obvious there.
The smiled at girl's stunt. So, he may not be the Seeker himself, but had she fallen down, he was pretty sure he would be able to catch it. Or even easier, 'Arrest the moment', how he remember 'Arresto Momentum' incantation.
"Hovering it is, then." - the young man nodded - "And~ Deary, I'm not old." - he pretended to pout, but the smile ruined it all.
"Now, Summoning Spell is a rather easy one. Or at least I think it is. They teach it at lower years, but it's not good to know some stuff beforehand, eh?" - he cracked another grin at the child.
"I suppose by now you've learnt how to just use wands and channel magic properly. Might be easier if you're from wizarding family, but those are, after all, superstitions. Look at Alan there" - he pointed at his brother, who couldn't hear him at the moment - "from Half-blood family, surrounded by magic all of his life and still as hopeless as your closest Muggle neighbor. Anyway."
He stopped, not sure how to explain this without a wand. Well, how smart of him. So very Ravenclaw, indeed, note the sarcasm here.
"First, just try making this motion with your wand." - he explained, making the same motion with his hand: arc in the air, something like half of the circle, starting at one point, going upwards and then downwards once more (something like letter n lol) - "Feel free to make it big until you get used to it." - he instructed.
"Most of the spells have a hand motion. It's for those getting used to wands. The more you use it, the smaller will motion become, which automatically means you'll cast spells faster. Then, at one point, you'll be able to disregard the motion completely and just do anything you like." - with this, he barely extended his hand towards Alan and whispered small 'Accio'. Twitch of his finger towards Tam and himself and his wand was flying out from Alan's robe, startling the younger brother.
"Rowan and kelpie manes." - he explained. Wood that went with pure hearted, good for duels and very good for Defending charms. Wood that goes well with people who liked to talk, a lot, if the old poem was to be believed. And of course, the darned wand core that was barely used lately. It was thought of as 'inferior' substance - difficult to work with, extremely old and somewhat 'rough'. It was common in past, but that doesn't mean it was easy or grateful to work with.
Faith repeated the action with his wand.
"Simple enough so far, yes?" - he asked with a small smile.
Down on the ground, Alan gasped when he felt something stirring in his pocket and the wand flew out. Darn it. He thought he might've been dozing off. He was about to get angry, but then he saw another girl approaching. And she looked just like the one that was talking with Faith. He yawned and waved to the girl.
"Mostly looking at those two. Sometimes looking around. So far they've tried a spell, showed off, both of them, and now they'll probably try a spell again and then play Quidditch. Maybe that's not exact schedule, but it's something of the sort." - he blabbered and offered the girl place to sit next to him.
"Alan Ravensdale, it's a pleasure to meet you." - he introduced himself.

Tam listened carefully to the instructions. When he talked about wizarding families, she felt her heart squeeze tight, and not loosen. She was only a half-blood, and she had rarely used magic before Hogwarts. She once again cursed her mother for being so afraid of magic. What if she couldn't get the hang on this spell, and Faith turned against her like every other person in this damn school?
She swallowed and forced a convincing smile. "Yeah, I-I've totally used magic before. I should be fine with it."
After staring at her brown wand for a second, she waved it in an arc. And again. And again. Nothing happened. The witch started getting frustrated, waving it to the point where she would throw it and break something to turn un-yielding into totally flexible.
The poor girl was forgetting to say the incantation.
"Fascinating," she mumbled as the man in front of her explained his wand. "Yes, very simple. Very . . . Very . . . Simple . . ."
Dizzy couldn't help bursting into laughter as the wand flew out of the older boy's pocket. She watched it fly up to her sister and the other guy, waving at them. Sitting down next to Alan, she gave a brilliant smile.
"I'm Diza Night, Dizzy for short. I'm Tam's twin." She beamed and held out her hand in a greeting. "Do you know my sister well?"

Faith realized that he probably caused discomfort to the first year. Only then had he remembered that children aren't even supposed to be use magic. Not only children, but teens too, until they turned 17.
"Hey, no offense. As I said, I don't believe in the superstitions. It's usually Pureblood who teach their kids magic pre-maturely." - he explained as he watched the girl wave her wand around in perfect half-circles, first slowly and patiently and then the girl started losing her temper. Former student caught her hand and held it above her head.
"Easy." - he said - "It's just the motion, physical part. Really simple, as I said. Harder part is the actual incantation and the spell itself. So, you ready to try that as well?"
He noticed that his baby brother was now accompanied by another girl, also redheaded. That must've been Tam's Hufflepuff-ish sister.
"So, listen up. This is the Summoning charm, meaning, you don't make things appear to you from thin air. That, deary, is 7th year Transfiguration. What we have here is literally calling things you know of to you. Incantation is Accio; in Latin it means something like 'I invite'. Easy to remember because of word 'action', that is associated with it." - and that's how Faith remembered all of his spells. And he knew a lot.
"Now, imagine one object... or event better. Here, look at my wand." - he placed his wand in front of her, so she could see the warm color, the decorative handle that reminded of hyena and a small pink bear charm that Muggles used for cell phones that was hanging from the handle.
"Can you close your eyes and imagine it, like it looks right now? Just imagine, don't Summon it yet. It's quite close, I'm afraid if it were to go any closer, it would gauge either your eyes or mine." - he laughed melodically and let the girl try, hoping she was able to relax, if only a little, from her previous 'physical part'.
He waved at the girl that was sitting next to Alan, though a little bit late.
Speaking of Alan, said boy smiled at Dizzy, only slightly, before he shook his head, as if apologizing.
"Oh, no. I've just met her. But she seems to be doing pretty fine with Faith, though, even he's much older and they've just met too." - he nodded towards the two who were still trying out the spell. Alan didn't even want to know. Just as Faith said - he wasn't too interested in all of this. Perhaps he will find a Muggle job after Hogwarts, but you never knew. Faith didn't plan on playing Quidditch either, when he was in his 3rd year.

The little witch forced a smile once again. "No, don't worry. You didn't cause any offence. I was just thinking of home. I, uh, just miss it a little."
Her smile turned to a pouting frown as he held her hand above her head. She didn't like being restrained. "Hey, let go." Her voice was oddly calm.
Tam mumbled the word 'accio' under her breath, two, three, four times. She then shut her eyes tight, focusing on the rowan wood with its ridiculous charm. She was going to say something, but thought better of it and kept quiet.
"I can do this," She continued to mumble under her breath, determined like never before. A small fire had lit inside her heart, and this would lead to her years of determination and stubbornness. Well done Faith.
She barely noticed her sister arrive, much less wave back to her.
"Hm," Dizzy looked back at the two, then at her new friend. "That's odd. Tam hardly ever talks to people, let alone older people. What year are you in, third? I'd be surprised if she could talk to you without squeaking and running away. How old is- uh, what's his name?"
Her cheeks coloured slightly, a fun smile hiding the embarrassment. It was always her back up plan, smile and laugh when something went wrong. She rarely though things through, and this was no exception. Really, she should've thought that she didn't know his name. But Hufflepuffs weren't known for their brains. They were . . . loyal.
"Have you noticed," The older twin mused. "That all the houses have a speciality, except Hufflepuff? Like, Gryffindors are brave, Ravenclaws are smart, Slytherins are evil or have a thirst for power, and then Hufflepuffs are just . . . Hufflepuffs. Everything else."
She curled her knees up to her chest, hugging them close as she rested her chin on her knees. Her face looked slightly depressed as she thought of this. She wasn't special in any way. She was just Dizzy, the loyal, dumb, older twin. Was that all she would ever be?

"It's only normal. I missed my home terribly. Then I come back and they annoy me. Especially somewhere from 4th to 7th year. Puberty striking and all." - he laughed. Remembering himself in puberty... He was always full of freckles, but at the time he had been really unsatisfied with himself. He hated his freckles, too pale eyes, and he had that ridiculous hair that he kept brushing out of his forehead and made it look so big. He supposed he could be his own Boggart.
"Ah, sorry~ You seemed ready to hit me, is all." - he whispered, as if telling her a secret - "You may not believe it... But I don't like it when Beaters hit me. A little too strong hand for my taste."
Although the girl had said nothing, he still noticed her stare at her wand. He started giggling himself, pretty much like a madman. Nothing unusual for Faith, if you got to spend more time with him.
"I like a lot of trash on my things. And frankly, I don't care for colors." - Faith was used to the popular opinion that blue was for boys and pink was for girls. He disagreed. Although, he did still wear blue, almost all the time, because he used to be in Ravenclaw.
"So, now that you know what my wand looks like up close..." - male trailed of dropped his wand. It was going through the air for few minutes, gaining speed until it hit the grass beneath them.
"Now you retrieve it." - he smiled, cheeky Ravenclaw like he was. He was used that everybody in his house tried to be the best, so he had to try hard to catch up, and that meant memorizing everything the first time you heard it. He wasn't exactly good at it, but spells were his 'thing'. Nonetheless, he decided to repeat this to the girl.
"So, remember. The wave of the wand - that curly motion. The incantation - Accio - and image of the object. It has to be clear in your mind. Just... concentrate. I'm sure you'll be able to do it." - it surely would boost his confidence as a teacher, even though he wasn't one. He did, however, spend a lot of time with Ramiel. Speaking of his friend, he was probably stuck with children once again. Or some 7th graders girls were harassing him Faith supposed it wasn't much of damage. It's not like he was stuck with boring, uninterested Alan on this Quidditch pitch, playing by himself.
--
"Oh, yes I'm a third year." - Alan approved - "And... Well his real name is Charles Ravensdale. But I guess that's not cool enough or something. He's more popular by Faith Flynn... I think he adopted that even in Hogwarts. He's 23."
What was that moron, that overgrown baby doing now? Was it alright for somebody to hope that wand would break? Alan supposed not. Faith's didn't. Rowan wood with kelpie manes. Who had that? Rowan wood, alright, but kelpie hair was pretty useless... Though if matched with certain wood... Alan felt his own wand in his pocket. Safe, sound and unused. And it shall prolly stay that way.
"But you are so hardworking that you sometimes outshine us all" - he said in the end - "And I think... that's a paradox, isn't it? Because hardworking would be your trait. Besides, you have best of us all. You're loyal, like Gryffidors, resourceful like Slytherins and witty like Ravenclaws. We seem sort of limited, when compared to you. What is wrong with being a Hufflepuff?"
Well that was coming from a person who had very varied family, although in that variety, huge part were still Gryffindors, with occasional Slytherin and Hufflepuff thrown in between.
"You'd rather be like him?" - he pointed at his brother - "Stab back of your own, so you could prove yourself to be better?"

"Puberty seems scary," the child said thoughtfully. "I mean, all those things you have to go through, hormones and stuff . . . Seems terrifying." She was thinking more about the changes females went through, of course. She was scared of blood, so God help her on her 'special first day'.
A burst of laughter escaped suddenly. "Well, I imagine that anyone would dislike a Beater hitting them." Her voice changed slightly, tinted with disappointment. "But I'm not a Beater. Not yet. And you don't know how strong I am. I might not be strong by your standards. Besides, I wouldn't hit you. I don't hit people, unless they deserve it."
"I know what you mean," Tam agreed. "I prefer blue over pink. Pink's such a stupid colour though."
She watched as the and dropped, worried for a moment that it would break. When it landed perfectly fine, she relaxed, barely paying attention to the repeat of words. She just concentrated, since this was some seriously advanced stuff.
Her hand waved as she shouted, "Accio!" while imagining the wand so hard it was almost in front of her. She put all her power, energy and focus into summoning the thin piece of wood. And . . .
Nothing.
She was bitterly disappointed. It shocked her slightly, so much that she allowed her temper to flare. In an instant she was covered in red hot anger, which burned her body and made her vision red. The eleven year old opened her mouth to scream, but shut it quickly before she could. Her face felt hot and red. How embarrassing.
"I can do it," she once again mumbled. "I can. I just . . . No, I can't do it. No, it's way too advanced. I'm not even good at anything like that. No way would I be able to do it. Stupid child."
Dizzy smiled in delight at her correct guess. "Charles- or, Faith, eh? Faith is a pretty cool name, I'll admit. Cool~ He's been held back that much, has he?" She giggled at her own joke.
She too watched the wand fall, a question coming to her mouth. The small shy side won for a change and beat it down. She wasn't going why Faith was dropping his wand and not getting it back.
"Mm? Do you really think so?" Her brown eye looked down at the floor, then at the dark haired boy next to her. "You think I could be loyal, resourceful, witty and hardworking? That's a lot of pressure for someone who's just a Hufflepuff."
"Actually, maybe not." She smiled half nervously. "I don't want to stab people in the back. I'm too loyal."

"Girls have it harder. They worry about zits and boys and everything... But it's not scary, trust me. Whoever says that you won't survive it lies. After all, everybody does." - he nodded in what he hoped to be reassuring manner.
"Same difference. Although if you had hit me, I would be able to say, one day, that she you hit me because I was bad teacher. I could go and brag about how it didn't hurt. Maybe lying, and maybe you did have 11, but who's going to ask?" - he smiled once more, messing up her hair affectionately.
He observed as the child tried to retrieve his wand. In his head, he was already going over the list of things that couldn't be Summoned. Wands could. Wands sure could. He caught Tam's hand in his left one - because he was left handed - and helped her.
"Here. Calm down. You can do it, but nothing happens immediately. Maybe you're too nervous." - he said and made a small wave with her hand still in his. Nothing happened, but this was just to show her how the motion goes - "Some teachers say that you... ah... need to feel the magic. I don't know how? But maybe you can. Just... try that, somehow. Like this."
Faith wasn't exactly sure how her wand will react to a person who he hasn't chosen. Much less he knew how it will react to two people holding it at the same time. Faith knew that owners of rowan wands were usually compatible with people chosen by elder wands. Which told him nothing, really. Elder wands weren't rarity, like they used to be - when there was only ONE Elder wand - but they were still pretty rare.
He cast the spell nonetheless. Still holding her hand, he made the motion with his hand, over exaggerating it, and said 'Accio'. Few seconds passed and nothing happened but it seemed that girl's wand needed those few seconds to decide whether or not he liked the person his chosen associated with. Then Faith's wand shot up from the ground and stood in front of Tam. Faith knocked it down again.
"Ready to try again? Give it some time. Perhaps you haven't used it much with magic yet." - he assumed. After all, kid got a wand when they turned 11; those wands that shot 'magic' were good for nothing but entertainment, really, and that's why they got sold in such a big number.
--
Alan laughed at Dizzy's joke too.
"That would be so... horrible. Sounds like a frightening idea. It's not bad enough that I have to stand being close to him at home, I would have to be next to him in school too." - Well, truth be told, Faith being home was usually limited to Christmas and one month of summer vacation, but for Alan, that was more than enough. He thanked everything he knew that Faith liked to spend New Year's with his friends, else he would have to endure him at that time too.
He nodded.
"Oh yes. I think Hufflepuffs are under most pressure. Nobody expects much of them and you constantly keep proving us otherwise. But then, there is fact that you are hardworking as well. So... maybe it'd be pressure on the rest of us, but not on you? I think working hard and proving yourselves comes like breathing to you... Like Slytherins and Ravenclaws, who are always ambitious and want more than they can have, or like us, Gryffindors, who want to prove ourselves as knights in shining armours all the time."
The boy smiled at Hufflepuff girl.
"I think Hufflepuff is a kickass house. Just because you don't divide people in groups and cliques and because you are loyal, it doesn't mean you can't prosper. Did you know that not a single Dark wizard came out of your house?"

((Is it wrong that I'm shipping Tam and Faith in this? ;w; ))
The witch rolled her eyes. She would survive it, she was sure of that. Unless she bled to death, which wasn't likely to happen. Right? Well, how many woman had she heard of dying from periods? None. Well then.
Her lips twitched into a smile as she smacked him on the shoulder. Not hard, but hard enough with the intention of rocking his broom a little. "Don't touch the hair," she cautioned. "I'm going to get stronger, and maybe knock you off your broom one day."
To her utter horror, her cheeks flared pink as Faith showed her how to do the magic. She hadn't been this close to a person of the opposite gender before, let alone an older one showing her how to do spells. Didn't that happen in movies? Oh sure, when the couple are falling in love, Tam's mind whispered. Concentrate! She pulled her hand away quickly.
"Uh, yeah, I've got it." Oddly, she could feel her wand's reaction to the man. It liked him, which was a good thing; Tam was sure it could blast him off his broom if it wanted to. After all, it was described as 'rigid' by the wandmaker. And picky. But, her wand's word was good enough for her; she could trust the boy. "I just want it to work fast. I'm impatient, you see."
Another wave of the wand and shout of an incantation. Nothing, once again. The eleven year old frowned and tried to focus on pouring her energy and magic into the wand and spell. Again, it didn't work. Maybe she just wasn't advanced enough for it. Or maybe she wasn't trying hard enough.
"I can do this!" She shouted and waved her wand franticly, shouting 'accio'. Somewhere in the mess, she must've done it right, because the wand on the ground hovered up towards them, before stopping and dropping to the ground.
"I did it!" She almost beamed. "I just need to do it again now!" With a hopeless look, she glanced at the older boy. "How do I do it again?"
"Aw, c'mon, he's family," Dizzy gave him another brilliant smile. "You love him really, right?"
This witch loved her family more than anything in the whole world. She didn't understand when people didn't love their own families. They were family. You had to love them, right?
"Well, there aren't many famous Hufflepuffs," She countered. "Not many have gone on to do wonderful things, have they? I mean, we work as hard as we can, we have ambitions and want more but that's human nature, and lots of us can be brave." Using his words against him was low, but she could do that occasionally.
She then returned the smile. "Yeah, that's true. We're cool, we're all friends, and we're not evil!" Giggle, giggle.

YES RACH SO WRONG SKJDKJ //shotdead Also, sorry for late reply ; v ; Kept losing this shit all the time OTL ))
Faith ruffled child's hair once more and stuck his tongue out at her.
"So once you become a Beater, I can say 'Tam Night, she once hit me. She actually SHOOK my broom'!" - Faith flailed around around with arms outstretched, once more turning upside down on his broom.
He backed off from Tam once more, rubbing his hand slightly. The incantation worked for him, but it must've been because he was holding her hand. The wand didn't act up, but it could have. He looked down at his rowan wand, feeling much better when using it. It felt more easy-going, but it must've been because he used it for past twelve years.
The girl cheered and he clapped his hands as well, being childish.
"Nice~! That's a start, that is a start. Nothing can work all of the sudden. It needs practice. You can try it, every day. For small things and and small distances. You know, a rumor is that Summoning charm doesn't work on long distances. As I said - rumor. Myth, legend, lie. Try leaving something around campus and Summoning it from various places." - he smiled and nodded. How many times has he done that? Probably hundreds.
"Now to repeat it - calm it down, and try to recall the feeling. And concentrate." - he nodded to the child.
--
"Of course I love him. But he's hell to share things with. So possessive, hogs up bed sheets, blankets, hides stuff around the room... But I guess it is normal, between siblings?"
He was taken aback by her statement. Stubborn, Alan was goddamnly stubborn. He will not back now. Not now, when he made a perfect statement he had to defend.
"It just means that you are above things like that. Very humble as well." - boy smiled at Dizzy after moments of silence.

((BUT BUT THEY ARE SO CUTE ;3; //makes Tam in like, 7th year //shot And it's ok ;3; ))
The little witch smiled mischievously at the ruffling of her hair. She stuck her little tongue out back and kicked at his broom, again only with the intention of knocking it a little. She giggled childishly at Faith's flailing.
"Shut up!" She furiously laughed. "Stop mocking me! I'll be great one day, I promise you that!"
Tam continued to watch him while he explain, her brown eyes fixed firmly on his. A rare gift to be born with, her father told her; nothing magical about it either. Just the simple ability to keep your eyes on someone else's. Apparently, it was hard to do.
She then stared at the wand on the ground helplessly. "But, I don't know what I did. I just . . ." She made a vague motion with her arms that could've been a chicken impersonation or some form of stretch. "I don't know, something like that."
Nevertheless, she did. She poured her heart, soul and energy into the small stick of wood that was her wand. She tried to remember a feeling, any at all, but she couldn't. Maybe it was just a fluke, and she was too young for this.
"I'm sorry," She apologised after a moment of silence. "This must be boring for you."
Dizzy let out an infectious laugh. "Yes, very normal~. I usually take the blanket when Tam and I share a bed, and I love hiding her diary around the room. She panics like mad!" Wait, that was a secret, wasn't it? Oh well. Hopefully this boy wouldn't go through Tam's things looking for it.
"Ah ha, I'm anything but humble," She replied with a smile. "You just can't think of anything else to say back to that, can you? Sorry, but it's the truth, isn't it?"

"I know you will." - the male smiled at the child - "I hope you will. You know, you should always, always strive to be better... I mean, I know it's a bit a of a Slytherin trait, but ambitiousness isn't a bad thing."
He himself was really ambitious. Lots of other Ravenclaws were too... Pretty much like Alan said - they were ready to stab each other in the back to be the best. Looking back at his days spent at school... Faith was no different. It wasn't something that he was exactly proud of... who was he kidding? He totally was. [[ //mingtears /shotsobadly ]] He loved every part of himself, this was no exception. It seemed he had the confidence Tam didn't, even though she was, he had to remind himself, merely a child, despite how determined she was.
"You usually concentrate too hard.... Try relaxing. Try to think of something different altogether. And then try again. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to do it, once you aren't so hard on yourself." - he grinned encouragingly at the Gryffindor.
He shook his head and stirred his broom so that he was circling Tam.
"No, no darling~! Just on the contrary!" - he claimed while shaking his head up and down rather excitedly - "It fascinates me. You have gotten further than I would expect from 11 year old Ravenclaw. It says something doesn't it?" - he smiled.
--
Alan looked at the girl, unsure of what to say.
"The fame isn't everything. Lots of people who are famous know that. It just looks good when it's look from aside." - he shrugged, really not knowing what else he could use in this argument. He looked up at his brother and shrugged. Alan himself didn't know of fame first-hand. Here, Faith wasn't known for much. Especially not in this name - Flynn. In Bulgaria, where he spent years, he was. Alan has never been to Bulgaria before.

Tam's eyes showed a brief but strong flash of fear when Faith mentioned the green snake's house. She was terrified of being a Slytherin at heart because of the stories Dizzy had told her; how the house was pure evil, how everyone in there went to the dark side, etc. The girl didn't want to be evil after she had had so many Gryffindors whisper that she was.
"Uh, ambitious, maybe I shouldn't be something that . . . dangerous, you know?" She stumbled over the words, in vain hope that she'd sound normal.
The young girl cursed herself for not being able to hide her fears better. Why couldn't she hide her feelings better? It would make everything so much better!
"Relaxing?" The word sounded almost alien on her tongue. "Relax. That can't be too hard. I'm not really used to relaxing, you see . . ."
She was referring to the constant teasing of Slytherin students. Tam had to be on constant alert to counter those students whether she was mocked by their tongues or hexed by their wands.
Tam watched Faith circle her with curiosity as he complimented her magic. Her cheeks coloured, still not used to the kindness.
"Oh, um, well I'm not that good!" She managed to spit out around her embarrassment. "I mean, Ravenclaws are so brainy, I couldn't be like them! I just, well, I just love doing magic!"
--
Dizzy smiled at the dark haired boy, admiring his effort and determination for carrying on their conversation.
"I suppose that's true; but fame shows people what you can do, you know? If you're not famous, people won't say that one of your achievements are important. You won't show people how your house is special, when they think it's not. The fact that Hufflepuffs haven't gone on to do amazing things only supports everyone's beliefs that we, well, suck!"
She ended with a pout. The redhead was so tired of people underestimating her house. She was proud to be in Hufflepuff, no matter what anyone said, and she wished other people would see how good they all were! Hard-working, loyal, kind; those traits were hard to find in people these days, so Dizzy believed Hufflepuffs should be celebrated for this achievement, not shunned and laugh at for being the 'stupid' house.
