The morning had started with a rude awakening.
A nightmare. Or, another nightmare, for the young fairy named Tam. She had awoke with sweat plastered over her body, her heart beating a million miles an hour and dark purple under her eyes. When she had checked, the purple was very dark and very noticeable. A little carefully placed make up had covered them - mostly. Now they were only noticeable when someone was up close.
It had been early in the morning for a teenager, but nevertheless, she had got up, got dressed and walked to the café for some food. Tam hadn't been eating well, but the bagel managed to get forced down her neck and stay down. Half way through her meal, a hallucination of Dizzy had appeared, said some things Tam would not care to repeat, then disappeared. At least they had started disappearing at random times.
Now though, what was she doing? It was almost lunch time, and she had been wandering the familiar corridors for hours, lucky enough not to run into anyone; hallucination or otherwise. But she was bored.
I want him to be here.
As soon as she thought it, she felt her cheeks colour faintly. Him being her new boyfriend, Hunter Louvel. She wasn't sure if it was the Last Man Standing (ASSUMING THIS IS WHEN IT'S FINISHED, OF COURSE LOL) or him, but one of them had changed her. Now she was doing all sorts of things that had seemed alien before; blushing, crying around other people, feeling the coldness of snow, etc. She had never done these things before, yet now she couldn't go outside in just a T-Shirt any more.
But oh díos, what she wouldn't do to have him here. Surely, if anyone could comfort her, it would be him. Everyone else had some sort of paranoia attached to them; he was the only thing in her mind that was . . . Innocent.
"This innocence, is brilliant," she sang softly in her slightly Spanish accent. "I hope that it will stay."
Her dark lips curved into a smile that looked happy and friendly, even with her scary dark make up and Gothic clothes. He was her innocence, and she wanted to protect him.
Her small feet took a sharp turn, and she found herself wandering outside the Academy, into the snow. The bitter coldness make her inhale quickly, but it was easy enough to relax. After all, how many times had she spend out here in the snow, trying to cool down when she had one of her headaches? It was home to her, as much as this Academy was.
Tam stopped as she reached the forest that surrounded the Academy, then knelt down on both knees. She scooped up the perfectly white snow in her delicate, long fingers and thrust it over her forehead. The last of the fears of the nightmare melted down her face, along with the snow and the make up hiding her dark circles.
She looked up as it started snowing softly, giving the grey sky a smile as she was graced with the magical snowflakes.
