[[hey bby look what i have
ZASS
sorry it’s so long man
also don’t hate me song choice??? sad times]]
Sleep don't visit, so I choke on sun,
and the days blur into one
And the backs of my eyes
hum with things I've never done
Sheets are swaying from an old clothesline
Like a row of captured ghosts over old dead grass
Was never much, but we've made the most
Welcome home
- Welcome Home; Radical Face
Cassandra Winters had never been known for her punctuality - most of the time, she turned up late. And normally, it wasn’t that big a deal - in her job, she’d get off with a warning; in a party, nobody really noticed. However, this time she was late to meet up with the man she loved, and it was a big deal. She was ready to let out a string of apologies when she finally met up with him, when she could finally see him again after so long. But with a sigh, she only pinched the bridge of her nose and took in her surroundings.
The surroundings outside the Academy was deserted. What Zack called ‘Game World’ was certainly different from London. From moments upon arriving, it had made her feel unsettled - the surroundings were unfamiliar, everything about the place seemed… off. Between playing with the hem of her jacket and making her way through worn snow, she had finally reached it - a large, rather old building that had to be the Academy. Cass seemed to stop in her tracks, rubbing her eyes because she was tired, of all things. She was tired and she needed coffee now more than ever, but she needed him more. Coffee could wait - coffee was something that could easily be replaced by tea, but Zack couldn’t be replaced by anyone.
The wind tousled her dirty blonde hair and she sighed, brushing loose strands out of her eyes. It was cold, and it seemed to be getting darker with each passing minute and it was unsettling. It was one thing to be wary around the streets of London, but another to be wary of a place you weren’t familiar with. After all, what exactly were you wary of?
Cass grimaced as she took few steps towards the building, glancing around with aqua eyes for any sign of Zack - but he was nowhere to be seen. She was sure he’d said to meet her outside the Academy (with added simple directions, even though they weren’t the best, but at least he’d tried), she was sure he said he’d be waiting out here for her, even if he had to stay the whole night.
A part of her wondered if he’d forgotten.
With a disappointed sigh, she leant against a wall outside the Academy, rubbing her temples. “Where are you, Zack?” - and now she was tired and missing him too much, even though he must be so close, after all. But collecting herself together, she ran her hand through her dirty blonde hair and waited.
He had to turn up, she knew he would eventually.
