Everlast - Saving Grace
Metatron was a simple person. Of simple tastes and needs, which described everything she had been up to now, everything she is right now. She liked simple things, simple life (although some would argue about her lif being simple). She was also a hedonist, to a point, and to achieve the greatest pleasure would mean to stay away from torture contraption known as school, or in this case, Scream Academy.
No such luck.
She could, of course, avoid it to a certain point in life, but at the age of twenty-four, Metatron should've realized that 'forever' was too long of a while in world that was all too small. And so maybe Flynn needed somebody to take his place while he was on prolonged mission (as far as Metatron understood, he didn't need a substitute because he shared class with another teacher just for this reason, but as curious as she was, she did not want to go into his private affairs, not unless he told them to her first). She spent the class sitting in the back, not even introducing herself to the blonde woman and glaring daggers. It was overall boring, and far less painful (goodness, it was painless) than she expected.
She was still there, drinking at what had to be cheapest drink that they passed for alcohol here. She knew it was because those were kids and she knew that she shouldn't drink it (alcohol messed with her gender issues so badly, because biological experiments just work differently), but in students' cruel reality, there was probably no alcohol in this anyway. It was very mild. With that thought Metatron was up and about, outside and on the road. Academy was tiring and Faith said one day. His second-in-command did the one day. She did one day more than wanted, and she did one day too much for whole eternity. Flynn so owed her for this.
When she stopped in the middle of the road though, she was sure she forgot something. Downwards look on herself to her bare feet, jeans some inches beneath knees and then clothes as they should be (who forgets their clothes?) and in the end hair (who forgets their hair?) and she could not exactly pinpoint it. Maybe it was only nagging at the back of her mind. The little voice telling her she did not do the job correctly. Which sucked, basically, but Metatron was not on the kind that would open their own heads over something like this. So she decided to move on before she turned around and entered that building once again.
Slowly moving over the stoned pavement, she looked around curiously.
