Name: Tamitha Amber Night
Age: Twenty years
Nationality: Spanish
Place of Residence: On campus, dorm #414
Major: Music
Wow. How could university be this . . . daunting?
The campus was huge. Tam was sort of small, but she'd never felt as small as she did when she took her first steps on the ground.
She wished for her sister. Dizzy had gone to a different university. It was weird, being so far away from her. But the two had promised to text each other every day, so it should be okay. Right?
Tam had been here for fourteen minutes and fifty-one seconds. Yes, she was counting. She was proud that she had found the music room on her map, and the library to, eh, 'stay' in when she didn't have lessons. Although she was certain that she'd get kicked out of the music rooms by bands wanting to practice, she'd be in there so much. She was ready to look for her own friends for a band.
Oh, it was cold.
A navy blue scarf was tucked up to her neck, despite her shivering. Her tiny hands pulled her jacket closer to her tiny body, in hope that she wouldn't freeze to death in this foreign land. It was colder here than in Spain, anyway. Spain had always been warm, inviting, comforting . . . Whereas this place was the opposite. And it was so far from home.
But she was happy to be here. The music program was fantastic.
Getting to the library seemed difficult. Students (all taller than her, Tam might add) were wondering left, right and centre because classes hadn't started yet. Heck, most people, including Tam, hadn't been to their dorms yet. The redhead had promised herself that she would find her dorm as soon as she had done some friend-making. After several hurried apologies (in English and Spanish) accompanied with a hell of a lot of bumping into people, the woman finally reached the library doors. With a sigh of relief, she went inside, reveling in the warmth that came with running computers and extra heating.
She quickly settled at a table, full of people, and pulled out her blue netbook from the side bag that casually bumped her waist as she moved. The power button flickered, reminding Tam that she'd left it on once again after listening to music and surfing the web. But it wasn't her fault, of course! She just . . . well, exhausted herself and fell asleep.
A small scowl crossed her face for a second as she hit the power button with her middle finger, which flashed a silver ring with a feather on it, and waited for the it to load.
