"Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!"
With a laugh, the redhead stuck a piece of tinsel up on the wall with some sellotape. It stayed put and Dizzy beamed in pride. The other pieces of tinsel had needed magic to stay up, and to be truthful she wasn't exactly sure that they were guaranteed to stay put. Well, if they fell down in the night, she was sure that no one would mind; they would just find a mess of Christmas decorations.
The nineteen year old had taken it upon herself to decorate the Tien common room with extra Christmas decorations. They had a theme of gold and red to match the two dorms' colours. It was better than Tam's suggestion of having all the decorations pitch black. She could be such a humbug when she wanted to be.
Dizzy stood back to admire her work with a proud heart. She had been in the common room for hours putting up all these decorations, and the most she hoped for was a couple of nice comments. It was so tiring doing all this Christmas stuff - and she still had to write a dozen Christmas cards and wrap a couple presents. But that was okay because Christmas was still a few weeks away.
And then there were lessons to do. She couldn't get used to being a teacher; it was her dream come true, but it was still so time consuming. She got to see Collin less and less because of her lessons. She wondered about making some time for her boyfriend around Christmas.
The little fairy sat on the cream sofa and looked around the room, admiring her work. She pondered a small idea for a second, then snapped her fingers sharply. Little balls of fire filled the room, hovering in the air just out of reach so they wouldn't harm anyway. The glow lit up the sparkle of the decorations and made the atmosphere seem much more Christmassy.
It was wonderful.
