The short girl looked up at the building in front of her. She blinked her bright, green eyes, once, and again. Her name was Brianna Avertis. Her father, mother and grandfather had all lived in this school at the same time, and that's why she was here now. She had just turned 16, and was the same age her mother had been when she had joined the Academy. She was a cocky girl, and liked to flirt around with the boys. She was calm, but when things annoyed her she wasn't going to stand for it. If anyone had known her parents, they would recognise her from this attitude or her appearance. Her hair was red and tumbled down to her shoulders. It was bright, like a crayon for a child. But because she had no black in her hair, she could easily be mistaken for her aunt's child. The thing that made it obvious she wasn't, were her eyes. They were a bright, emerald green that shone and shimmered. The eyes were not easy to forget, the colour stuck in your mind for a long time. The shapeshifter's eye lids were a light purple, the make up hardly noticeable until you came closer, making her eye colour stand out more. She wore a blue T-shirt with a lighter blue shade for her jeans. On her feet were big, black boots with a small heel. In her hand, she was dragging a suitcase. Well, if she was going to live here for the next few years, she was going to need a lot of stuff. She stepped forward in the snow, stopping to look down at it before looking up at the sky. "It's pretty here, Mama," she breathed. "I see what you mean now." Brianna looked around. She saw trees and snow. Her parents had told her about how they used to hang out under those trees with their friends and each other - after Tam was was convinced that no one was trying to kill her. Zack was one of the few people who had helped her through since the beginning, and the small girl knew that that was why she had fallen in love with him. She walked over to a tree, putting her gloved hand on the cold bark. Her bright eyes closed, and she tried to imagine all the people they had named - themselves, Renée, Dizzy, Rio, Collin, King, Frey, James, Tony, and loads more she had long forgotten. These stories had once made her go to sleep, when she was a young girl. When she knew they were real, they held a lot more meaning than simple bed time stories. They were now a part of her family's history - she had to keep them in her mind and make more of her own. "So then I can tell them about it, and they'll be happy I'm making friends." Her smile flashed at the tree, as bright as her hair or her eyes. As her hand fell from the trunk of the tree, her head turned around, looking for another person in the frozen paradise.

((NOTE: My knowledge of Italian is--- VERY limited o 3 o))
Tobiah Nero exhaled lightly.
"Lasciami in pace, madre. [Leave me alone, mother.]" - he said irritably - "Mamma, ti capsico gia. Can I go out now?" - the blonde teen questioned his mother and the Vice-Headmistress waved her hand, letting him off. Tobiah was out in the blink of an eye, sighing and leaning against the door. It was the first day of school tomorrow. He really did not need reminder of his Head Boy duties.... Who the Hell gave him the title? He knew very well that Bauman was bonkers even before leaving Academy itself, let alone when he came back as Headmaster... But placing son of Vittoria Nero as Head Boy was something Tobiah most certainly did not understand.
He was on the ground floor now and the blonde ran hand through his shoulder-long wavy hair. Tobiah was tall, far taller than his mother. But in any other way, save for parts of his personality, he was just like the unbearable woman. He was equally blonde - almost platinum, he was also a spider demon - much to his own dismay - and he had more than two eyes spaced on his body; however he hid all he could, which left fours eyes on his face - two with normal placement and two below those. And light green eyes, almost invisible against whites, that's how bright they were, scanned over Main Hall. From corner of one eye, he noticed Bathild Ravensdale's lean figure disappearing around the corner and he sighed in relief.
Bathild arrived in Academy one year after Tobiah and she practically caused him Hell. The girl was everywhere and he was getting sick and tired of saving her when she was out after curfew just because she was in Dieter too. He rubbed his temples - he was all more relaxed when she didn't notice him either and kept on her way. Her sky blue eyes haunted him at night, and in not pleasant way. He frowned and stopped thinking of Ravensdale; it would only cause him headache; at least.
Tobiah walked out to notice redhead girl apparently worshiping the tree. He noticed the hair color, closed his eyes and gasped, but not because he was cold, even though he only had light white shirt, black pants and boots on himself. No, he was far from cold.
"Please do not be Love, please do not be Cross, please do not be anything of the sort because I've had my share of fights with gingers." - he whispered out and walked to girl in long strides.
"Hello there, cara mia [my dear]." - he greeted her.

((It's ok, I only know how to say 'my name is Rachelle' in Italian XD))
The girl spun around at the sound of the boy in front of her. She looked him up and down without blinking, then looked at his hair. She had never seen hair like that! Brianna wondered if she could turn her hair that colour. Which was a stupid thought. She could do it at will . . . Just maybe when the boy wasn't around. Then she noticed his extra pair of eyes. They were a light green, she could see if she stared long enough. The girl put her hand over her mouth to hide the smile - Blond hair, green eyes. It was her papa's colours, but they weren't as light as this boy's. "Bonjour," she replied, sitting on her suitcase. "I'm Brianna. Are you going to Scream Academy too?" She looked around once more at the snow. "It's trés cold out here, isn't it? I wish I'd packed an extra coat." She flashed a smile, making her face warm and friendly. "But it's nice to have some company, oui?" Her voice was an odd one. It slipped into French occasionally, but her accent was somewhere between Spanish and French, having grown up learning English and French from a Spanish mother and French father. She hadn't cared much for Spanish, she said she had always found it too hard, so she stuck to the two languages her father knew.

Tobiah frowned and crossed his arms across his chest. Naturally, he thought Brianna was laughing at him. And she did have a point - after all, his hair was a mess, at least he thought so, when it wasn't pulled into a neat ponytail. Unlike his mother's, it was wavy, while Vittoria's was straight. However, Tobiah decided that it was way too early to get in the fight. School hasn't even started yet. As she spoke, without making any comments on his looks whatsoever, his frown ceased.
"Ah unfortunately, yes. For three years already." - he rolled all of his four eyes - "I'm getting sick of it already, I've lived here longer." - platinum blonde smiled and chuckled slightly. He pulled at white shirt he was wearing.
"Ah, bambina mia [my girl], you must be of those who are sensitive to cold... France is warm country, yes?" - Tobiah asked, assuming by her speech she was coming from France. One would think he has grown in Italy by his as well.... It was obvious whose son he was; he almost spoke like his mother. But unlike her, although flirtatious and outgoing, he wasn't fan of toying with feelings, causing pain and generally being an ass. He scratched the top of his head, watching 'his girl' as she sat casually on her suitcase.
"Need any help with that?"

The girls eyebrows went under her fringe. "Three? That's an awfull long time! How long do we stay here?" She looked down at his shirt, hoping to see some indication of what dorm he was in. It gave her nothing. She sighed mentally and wrapped her red scarf around her neck tighter. Maybe he was in Dieter too, and he could notice from the scarf. It was only natural she should be in there. Her father, mother and grandfather were all in there, so why shouldn't she? "I'm not that sensitive to the cold," she replied coolly. "It's just a change. Oui, France is a whole lot warmer, and Espagne [Spain] is a whole lot warmer than that!" She beamed, loving her family holidays to the country. She loved France with all her heart, but Spain relaxed her. "I'm bien with carrying it, it's just I don't know where to go." Apparently, this is how her mother had met her best friend. Tam was lost, and she ran into Renée, who pretended to be a teacher as a joke. Brianna hoped that she would make a best friend in a similar way. Maybe this boy could be it.
[Or maybe this boy could be her future husband, thus creating the next generation //shotshotshotshot

"Not really... It's fun during school year~ Vacations are a bit dull though." - he said, small half-smile half-smirk gracing his lips.
"I still think you are sensitive to the cold." - Tobiah winked. - "But I can't judge. I haven't been further than the Game World." - he admitted as well. He was smiling a lot; that was usually reserved for new people. For those who haven known him far longer than 20 minutes, he would be all sorts of person - he would be grumpy, happy, amusing, making fool out of himself, be pissed off... but right now he wasn't sure how 'bambina sua [his little girl]' was going to react to him in general. And yes, he has definitely decided to call Brianna his little girl from now on. Pretty much like he called his roommate 'dolore mio [my pain]' constantly...
"Luckily for you, I happen to be a Head Boy. Which also means that I have access to Tien dorm and not only mine, Dieter. Where is it that you want to go?" - he asked, motioning towards her luggage - "I still insist I carry it."

"Fun during school?" She blinked her big eyes twice. "And dull in the holidays? Are you sure about that? It seems a little bit backwards . . . Maybe I'm mixing the words up," she mumbled to herself. As he winked, she automatically grinned. "Maybe if I'm sensitive to the cold, you could find something to keep me warm. Or maybe you could come and see France one day, oui? Or Spain! They are both si belle!" She sighed happily at the thought of home. It was cold here, but she was sure she'd get used to it. The inside must be warm, right? And if she can find somewhere warm to sleep, that would be better! She, like her father, loved to turn into a little black cat and lazy around. "You're Head Boy? My aunt was Head Girl~" She beamed at remembering it. "And thank goodness you're in Dieter, at least I'll know someone there now. I'm in it too, you see."

"Oh yes, bambina mia, all the things we do during the school~" - he mused, smiling like an idiot - "But do not tell any of that to teachers. They would castrate me if they knew I went out after curfew for more than Head Boy duties~!" - he chuckled.
After her statement, Tobiah muttered something along the lines of 'Ah yes, France~' and then made a show of kissing the back of her hand before pulling her up from her suitcase and taking it into one hand before pulling her into one-armed hug.
"Unfortunately I haven't brought anything to warm you up with me, so myself will have to serve the purpose, pricipessa [princess]." - he was clearly teasing, but looking so serious at the same time; it was sort of obvious coming from him though. He was remarkably taller than Brianna - in fact, she reached somewhere around his shoulder. Like his mother, he thought inwardly and refrained from chuckling, even though he didn't like comparing people to Vittoria.
"Really? This is kind of in my family.. My grandmother lived in Italy, but she moved here and worked as Hall Monitor. My mother was Head Girl and then Hall Monitor before being Vice-Headmistress. She still is, unfortunately for me. I think people expect me to become Hall Monitor as well. I honestly hope not." - he said with a shrug.
"Eh, I can meet you with some other guys, show you around... I do happen to know one or two interesting people... Just depends what is it you find interesting~ Do you have any cousins inside?" - he said and began leading them inside.

(totally jumping in XD oh and for this sake i'm just gonna say he proposed to lilli)
Being jake's fifth year as a teacher in the academy and 3 years after he proposed to lilli, they were waiting for the right day to finally get married though. He knew that he had to go and greet the new students so they would know who their teachers were. "Another year of students, another of holding myself back from draining them." He sighed as he began walking around the school grounds, eventually finding a red haired girl and mr. tobiah. "oh whats this?" Jake sneaked up behind tobiah the light casting a shadow on him covering his face completely in darkness except for his eyes which seemed to glow."Mr.Tobiah shouldn't you be showing other students around instead of flirting with this young lady?" Jake dwarfed his younger selfs height at a now 6.8" which helped to make him seem more menacing then he really was. "No then for my introduction to this young lady. I am Jake Shadows the great artistic dhampire, I am the teacher of illusion creation, detection, and prevention." With a swift movement of his hand he creates a single rose and hands it to the red haired girl. " our motto is see not like a human would but like your species would. Welcome to the academy."

Brianna couldn't help but laugh at him. "Don't tell any of the teachers? But my papa is/was the music teacher here. He expect me to be a good, proper- pfft, who am I kidding? He wants me to enjoy myself and have a good time!" She laughed, almost to herself. Her dad was fun, very fun at that. He knew how to have a good time and she wanted to join in with that. At the hug, her cheeks turned a light pink. She would have loved the be the ultimate seme, not blushing or giving anything away, but even her mother blushed occasionally, and she had gone most of her life without it. "I don't mind you warming me up," she smiled, flirty. "You're very warm, and you're a proper gentleman, with the kiss and all." She face tilted to the side to look up at him. Her emerald eyes were shining at him, something which meant you were in her good books. "Your mother and grandmother were here too?" She grinned. "Is it just us, or has everyone got a relative who was here? I guess it's a big enough school and stuff. Ah, this will be exciting!" She then shook her head. "Not yet, they're a little younger, so they won't be joining for a while, but you'll know them when you see them." A quick wink finished the sentence. The shapeshifter turned to Jake with a small frown. This guy was telling Tobiah to stop flirting, but here he was holding a rose out to her. "Jake Shadows," she repeated, feeling the familiarity of the name. She jumped when it sunk in and battered the rose away. "Oh, Jake Shadows! You knew my mama and papa! Tam and Zack!"

"Eh, so you liked my little display?" - he asked, chuckling slightly and speaking of the hand-kissing - "I can be quite a gentleman, bambina mia, I can show you of a date if you wish~ Though if your father worked here he must've known my mother; that kind of ruins the chances." - he suggested with a smile. Asking her out was crossing the line. After all, he has just met her, but Tobiah shared his mother's trait, something that did not come from his father, like most parts of his personality. He was impatient and straight-forward, which combined gave... well this.
Apparently Jake thought it was a reckless decision too. Or maybe not, for perhaps man found the kids amusing and had his share of fun of making them squirm a little. And he had some sort of point too. Another trait inherited from Vittoria, Tobiah would say what he perhaps shouldn't say at given moments. And as son of Vice Headmistress, he felt safe enough to say whatever he wanted to say.
"Ah, indeed I should." - he said, bowing a little to the taller man and pushing his platinum blonde hair out of his face and over shoulders - "But students just started coming and no one seems to have problems. In fact, I was just now escorting this fine lady to her dorm." - and Tobiah smiled still, though seemed a bit stiff, irritated. He made no movement to get away from Brianna.
When he first met the teacher, name Jake Shadows meant nothing to him. His mother begrudgingly agreed Jake was 'good kid, but only because' she 'could never catch him in act'. Tobiah made sure he was in all of his classes since then, but that was it. Apparently, Jake attended Academy with Brianna's parents and while Zack wasn't really ringing a bell, Vittoria did say quite a few things about Tam and detentions... He shrugged it off and got back to conversation at hand.

jake sighed when brianna battered the rose away. "so you have your mothers attitude to, it's good to see that in you." the rose quickly changed into a snake and slithered off. "Ms.Brianna you will need that attitude and a strong determination to survive in this academy however don't stop that from letting you have some fun around her, me and your mother and our share of fun when we we're kids ourselves." his attention turned to tobiah, he messed up his hair and smiled. "good then keep up the good work, oh and don't let me catch you doing anything inappropriate to this young lady i'd really hate to give you detention." He shuttered at that word." so many dark times in detention."
He turned his attention back to brianna." oh and ms.brianna can you kindly do me a favor next time you send home a letter to your mother do tell her i'm very sorry for the things my youthful self has done and said. I wish her a happy and fruitful life. As for me and my soon to be wife we are doing just well ourselves. I'd tell her myself but she seems to still be holding a grudge against me." he sighed in contempt at the fact the grudge was reasonable. his tone become more darker and sinster." As for your back stabbing father tell him if I ever see him again two things will happen, 1. I will drain his body of blood 2. his body will be buried where no one will ever find it. He not only took the one person i loved away from me but he crushed the only happiness I ever had. He's a lying bastard whose deceitful and misleading. I once trusted him and thought of him as a friend."the snake that was the rose slithered by jake's feet to which jake stomped on it's head killing it. "I want to watch him die." He coughed unexpectedly. "...oh I'm extremely sorry about that....that seems to be happening more and more these days, I'll have to talk to your mother tobiah maybe she can do something to help me stop that."

((Amg sorry ;3; I felt like joining in ~ This is my first time, so sorry for crappy replies and starters ;3;~))
Renée Thornton Hadn't changed over the years. She probably never would.
Her life was quite similar to her personality; immune to change. From her chocolate, lustrous hair sweeping just past her shoulder blades, to her glassy, doll-like amethyst eyes. Skin a healthy shade of light 'neutral', seemed paled by comparison to the dark grey cable sweater clinging to the curve of her waist and broad shoulders. Delicate fingertips traced the pockets of her denim skinny jeans, which sank comfortably into black military boots.
Laying on the hard wood desk, she stared up at the seemingly distant celling of Scream academy's library. Everything feels distant, living in a world of endless dreams Renée corrected herself exasperatedly. New students arrive today, including Brianna.... A sigh escaped her throat unintentionally, a mirror of the sadness enveloping her. How many years had it been since she last laid eyes on him? How many messages had she received from him boasting his happy life without her?
Sitting herself up slowly, it was as if she were emerging from her secluded thoughts of hideous reality. She placed her palm flat on the cover of a hardback book before sliding her index finger down to the spine. Being the assistant librarian had it's perks. A dreamers paradise during the days for sleep and endless nights while reading without disturbance. You can hardly call it 'assisting' when you're asleep during school hours...
Begrudgingly, Renée stood slowly from the desk, stretching with the grace of a cat. She needed to take her mind off things. This meant deciding to actually do her job and place the books she had read the night before back on the shelves. She looked across the room at the large window that was illuminating the room. Staring thoughtfully to it, she crossed the room to watch the world outside her one of dreams. Snow painted my vision immediately. This wasn't a surprise for Scream academy or its surroundings. A grey cloak shrouded the academy over head, leaving mystery of a distant snowfall hanging in the air. The branches, naked and twisted, had a lonely sense to them from beyond the window of the library.
Below, the sight of three others had come to materialise to her eyes as her field of vision widened. Before any other, the sight of the redhead glued her eyes where they laid, unable to move. Unintentionally, Renée's palm had lifted itself to touch the glass of the window gently. Even with her sweaters sleeves covering her palm, the icy temperature seeped through, causing goosebumps to rise through her body. The gesture further proved the lie she had told herself for so many years was crumbling before her very eyes. That's her, the voice in her head rang anxiously, hiding her French accent less than usual. The tone of her voice aloud was no more than a hushed whisper, but still held the anxiety her mind spoke out. "Brianna..."
She did want to meet this girl she had heard so much about. She wanted to share memories with the girl sooner than she had imagined It was much like wanting to draw every detail of a scene in your head before you lose the thought of it, only far more important.
Ripping her focus from Brianna, she let her eyes fall onto the boy with what looked like white hair. Thoughtfully, she let her mind search back until she found the name to match the face. Tobiah Nero. She knew of the boy, though never had the privilege to speak with him face to face. A small smile played the corners of her naturally smooth lips. It had been the first smile Renée meant wholeheartedly in a long time, and it felt amazing.
At the sight of Tobiah leading Brianna inside, Renée stepped back from the window, letting her hand fall limp at her side. With the snap of her fingers, a black fountain pen materialise from thin air, along with a scrap piece of white paper. Magic had never been Renée's strong point, but she got the hang of simple tricks, and it was all she needed. Hastily, she wrote a note explaining she'll be leaving to run some errands and she would be back soon. After leaving it on the desk nearest the door, she ran through the doors down the corridor.
An endless sea of identical doors and corridors later, she came to a small clearing. She slowed her pace to a walk, breathing heavily to please the demanding speed her heart was beating at. The foyer of Scream academy had a rather luxurious feel to it, in her own opinion.
However, the scenery would have to wait. Brianna and Tobiah were across the room from her, speaking with Jake Shadows. She hadn't really known Jake all that well while being a student about twenty years ago, though she knew he wasn't of importance to her either. There's no point concerning myself with him any more, a rather cheerful voice echoed in her head. If I couldn't make the effort before, I most certainly can't now.
As the knots in her stomach continued to tighten then slack before repeating the cycle once again, she closed her amethyst dolls eyes. This is it, I guess...
Renée's legs took a step forward before her eyes opened once again. She plastered the most convincing smile possible over her face as she approached, hoping it wasn't all too much. She gave a loose wave at the trio before greeting with "Bonjour Jake," There was no need to weaken her accent in front of these people. "Who have you here?" She gestured towards Brianna before sweeping to Tobiah.
And here we go...
((Sorry for spamming you with stupid amounts of detail ;3; you can all shoot me later ~))

At the sound of a date after being here less than an hour, her ears pricked up. "Yes, of course I'd like to go on a date sometime! Whatever happened between our parents, is their history, not ours, right? We could start afresh!" She finished cheerfully before turning to Jake with a cold face. "I know you knew Mama. She told me a lot about you. And don't you say a word against my Papa. I'm not afraid of detention, much less you." She almost sneered. "My Papa is far better than you, and if you think that, then I suppose I'll just have to show you how much like Mama I really am." Brianna knew Tam would defend Zack against anything, so she had to follow in her footsteps and protect the things she held close to her heart. Whatever those two thought was precious, she was going to think that it was precious too. "If you even think about trying to kill him," her voice went low and hushed, like a demon child whispering a threat. "I will make sure you don't have to worry about the students, or your job, or anything else in your life ever again. Do you understand?" Her expression changed almost instantly as she looked at the oncoming brunette. Her eyes went big, her lips tilted in an almost smile. "Hello there. I'm Brianna Avertis, I'm new here." She held out her hand in a greeting. "Are you a teacher here? A French one?" Her smile widened into her lips parting slightly. "Je parle francais aussi! Mon pére et ma mére m'enseigné." She then laughed and gestured to Tobiah. "This is my friend, Tobiah. Do you already know him, madam?" Her Spanish and French accent danced over the words as she threw them all out. She liked to talk to people in French, as she thought it was a wonderful language. But it sounded so odd in her split accent. Spanish didn't sound much better, but she had never been able to remember the Spanish properly. French was easier for her to learn, so she had stuck with it.
