Sky was awed at the sight of the hall. It looked so . . . romantic. so inviting, like a welcomed break from everything that was going wrong in everyone's lives.
He walked in slowly, adjusting his purple tie once again. He was nervous, not having gone to to a romantic social event in years, long before Tam and Dizzy were born. Was there a certain way he should act at these things? Ah, he figured that it didn't matter anyway, he just had to have a good time.
The fairy looked around and smiled at the couples. He saw his own daughters with their dates, looking happy. Which was good; they deserved a break, a little time to be happy. Heck, he did too, but wasn't that why he was here? Sky thought about his own date.
He had been coupled with Rio Press. He didn't know Rio that well, but she was very close with Tam and Dizzy; anyone who was close to Tam had to be doing something right! She seemed like a loyal, trust-worthy friend, from what he'd seen of her. And he was sure that she'd be a lovely date.
Sky walked over to the drinks table and looked at the drinks. He guessed that some of them had been spiked by the kids of the party. With a shrug and a wave of his hand, a glass appeared in the same hand, filled with purple lemonade. He liked making different coloured drinks; a hobby, almost. And he decided that if Rio wanted on, he'd make one. Just for her.

Rio leant against a pillar in the hall, holding a cigarette loosely in her hand not paying much attention to what was going on around her but more so thinking about why she had bothered to go to this event in the first place, she eyed some people in the room watching them all smile and laugh with their dates, she gave a grimaced look murmuring under breath "Valentines day... depressing, when your single anyway" and took another puff of her cigarette. Speaking of relationships the brunette looked around the room for her date, Sky Night. Rio didn't know much about him but was aware that he's Tam and Dizzy's dad so was most likely a decent enough bloke. She spotted him over by the drinks area thinking of how she didn't see him sooner with that same colouring hair as his daughters, Rio decided that now was a good time to introduce herself so she sneakily dropped her cigarette on the floor, stomping on it with her black snake print heel a few times making sure it was definantly out and made her way over to Sky with a playful smile on her face. Rio tapped his shoulder, quickly moving over to the table so he wouldn't need to turn around and smiled warmly at him "Hi you're Sky aren't you 'cuz we're each-others date for the evening" Rio noticed the purple drink in his hand "Ooh I'm not a stranger when it comes to drinks but this is different, you can start getting me one of those" grinning widely.

Sky jumped a little at Rio's sudden appearance. He seemed to jump a lot nowadays; must be because of the whole Last Man Standing thing, where Tam had died and Dizzy had gone missing. It had really played on his nerves.
"Oh, how do you do?" He smiled, having the same mouth as Dizzy, making it as friendly as possible.
"You want a drink?" Sky stared at the purple drink in his hand, assuming she wanted one of a similar style. "What colour?"

Rio carried on grinning in reply to Sky's question, quickly glancing at the floor before answering him "Yeah Im alright thanks, sorry I startled you jus' now, 'know Im a ghost and all but am I really that scary?" she said giving him a playful look and keeping a hand lightly on his shoulder, Rio thought to herself she was only having a joke around with Sky but she genuinely understood why he'd be so jumpy, with Tam dying and Dizzy going missing it was enough to get Rio upset. Her mouth gaped open in surprise "You can make different colours? Thats so cool p can I have a pink one!?" Even though she'd been at the academy for a while now and strange things ere always occurring, little peculiar quirks like this always impressed her and Rio was always the first to try out new drinks be it alcoholic or not.
